With its patented design, the strap is made to securely hold the sandbag in place without having to use tape. The Strap has a pocket on the side in which the sandbag is inserted and is secured down with industrial-strength velcro and is universal for either left or right usage. Simply slide the sandbag in the Strap, place it on the bed where you would normally position it for a knee procedure, short strap on the side of the knee being prepped for surgery, and velcro that side around the metal bar and back on itself. The long side goes the opposite way, under the patients nonoperative leg, loops around the metal bar, pull tight and velcro back on itself. This takes about half the time and effort of tape, and it’s much easier because you don’t have to go under the bed anymore and one person can do it themself.
